Formed 1991
Big Mountain is a San Diego-based reggae band, most famous for their cover of Peter Frampton's "Baby, I Love Your Way," which reached the U.S. Top 40 in early 1994. They first reached the charts with the song "Touch My Light" in the late spring of 1993, receiving major airplay on local mainstream radio stations, such as B-100 and Q-106. "Baby, I Love Your Way" was featured on the soundtrack for the film Reality Bites. Big Mountain's pop-reggae style has earned them the title "The American UB40."
