Curbside

Originating as a four piece instrumental band on the search for a singer, CURBSIDE is a band has gone through several line-up changes and has endured because of the adaptability and persistence of the two members that the band is now comprised of.

 

As a four piece instrumental band we played much San Diego’s bar scene for about eight to ten months before parting ways with our other guitarist. As a three piece we continued to play out for several months, still in San Diego, until we finally found a singer. We played together for about a year.

At that point, we were ready to re-record this album that we had songs for. This is when our band went through yet another line-up change. And right as we were getting back into the studio too, but we parted ways with one member and shortly after our singer followed. Understandable I suppose, to lose faith in something so spread out.

Anyways, now the band is fronted by two individuals. Gorge Ortega and myself. We are currently working on getting our name back out there. We understand people can forget about a band that they think has broken up but we’re still going. We’ve recorded an EP, which we’re choosing art for. We’ll be releasing that later in the fall.

In addition to playing out and promoting our band’s name, we’re also collaborating with a few artists that approached us and that we’ve approached. We’ll have some new releases under a different alias but our home will always be CURBSIDE.
