Life Crisis

./284d7740.jpgIn 2001 Sean on drums,  Mike on guitar, and Matt on bass start a three piece band with the intention of bringing a real no-fashion old school hc/thrash back to San Diego. Matt leaves cause it was too far to drive from Chula Vista and he sold his bass gear.

In 2002 Mike Estrada joins on guitar/vocals and Mikey Heller on bass.  We continue on using songs from previous bands to build up a quick set list. In the summer of 2002 we release a s/t 4track demo to friends. Mikey fucks over Mike Estrada and Mikey gets kicked out. Sean moves to bass/vocals and Tim Helton comes in on drums.  We make a live demo November 2002.

In 2003 Tim leaves early 2003 and JP comes in on drums.  He played about 10 shows naked and he gets kicked out (not because he got naked though).  Adam Sewer comes in on drums. We continue to play a ton of shows and release a 8 song "Vigilante Justice" demo in August.

In March of 2004 Mike Estrada doesn't have time for the band any longer and quits. Life Crisis decides to just be a 3 piece again. In October we release "Unpeaceful Protest" 7inch and shows every weekend.

In 2005 we continue on as a 3 piece band and tour with MDC.  Twice released "Churchstate" 7inch along with a couple of comps. During the last MDC tour Mike decides he's had enough and calls it a day. Very sad. Onelast show with Mike on December 31st, 2005.

In 2006 Mike's back! (for local shows and future writing/releases), Sean moved to Knoxville (still in the band though), Rob Logic is on 2nd guitar and will be the only touring guitarist. Drew has joined us on bass, so Sean will be on vocals only. We played 8 southwest shows this August, but that will be it for the year as far as live performances. We're working on a full length LP to be released spring/summer 2007. Touring to follow release.

In 2007 - ready?...Mike Crisis is now permanently retired from Life Crisis for reasons that don't really matter.  But he & his unique style of guitar playing will be missed. We are not doing an LP like originally planned. We will have a minimum of one 7inch out by summer and possibly 2 splits or another full 7. Supposedly the Agression tribute we recorded for a couple years ago is really close to being released and we also have some songs that we re-recorded a couple years ago that were from our original demo cd that will be used on a kick ass comp lp coming out sometime this year. Still trying to decide on where the fuck to go on tour this year. It will likely either be east coast or a Germany/Sweden/Netherlands tour- or both.  That is about all i can tell you guys right now. cheers, sean-
