You’ve recorded your first EP, played a string of steadily improved local shows and built an e-mail list comprised of fans other than immediate family and roommates – now what? The second installment in the Music Industry 101 series will delve into building a fanbase through merchandising, marketing/promotion and regional touring. Panelists will discuss booking and promoting shows outside of San Diego, graphic design/artist Web sites, cost-effective production of t-shirts, stickers, posters, flyers/postcards and more.
Panelists include John Pantle (United Talent), Josh Higgins (fluf), Matt Phillips (Silverback management/Slightly Stoopid), Jon Pebsworth (Side One Dummy Records/Buck-O-Nine), Petey-X (Merch Lackey/Rocket from the Crypt), and Tim Mays (The Casbah)
